Delete your account

Back Burner by Back Burner Eats

You can delete your Back Burner account and everything in it at any time. Deleting is permanent: your recipes, notes, ratings, meal plans and shopping lists are removed and can't be recovered.

In the app

1. Open Back Burner and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Delete account at the bottom, then confirm.

By email

Can't get into the app? Email hello@backburnereats.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm once it's done, within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Your sign-in details and profile, including nutrition targets
• Every recipe you imported or edited, with its thumbnail, notes and rating
• Your meal plans and shopping lists
• Your subscription record at RevenueCat, and your waitlist sign-up if you had one

We keep nothing tied to you. Nutrition lookups we've cached for everyone (like the calories in an avocado) aren't personal data and stay.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Back Burner Pro subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions) or on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
